Oscar Urrutia Viana, Audit Partner at BDO in El Salvador, has been named the President of The Institute of Public Accountants of El Salvador since March 2017. We are delighted to congratulate him on this new role.

Mr. Urrutia gave a few words when celebrating the 'Accountant's Day of the Americas' on May 17 this year, in which he talked about how various events in the economic, financial, legal and political spheres at the global level are confirming that the role of the public accountant is a determining factor in economic development; El Salvador is no exception, since public accountants are and continue to bring a lot of talent and knowledge in the economic and financial field, just like in other Latin American countries.

The Board of Directors of the Salvadoran Institute of Public Accountants (ISCP) highlights on this date the activity and professional responsibility of the public accountant and sends by this means a greeting and congratulations on their good performance, which strengthens the quality of accounting in El Salvador every day. The profession of public accountancy at world-wide level is playing an important role in guaranteeing the confidence and credibility of information to make decisions.

The Board of Directors of the ISCP reiterates the congratulations to all the professionals on the day of the Accountant of the Americas.
